When French company King Colis brought its European tour selling lost parcels to Sweden and Malmö, Greatness PR was commissioned to manage communications and secure media coverage.

Millions of parcels are lost across Europe every year due to incorrect addresses and other logistical issues. In the past, these parcels were often discarded or destroyed once customers had received compensation. Instead, King Colis purchases lost parcels and resells them through pop-up shops across Europe, helping to reduce waste and promote a circular economy.

To deliver on the assignment, Greatness produced and distributed press materials and press releases to newsrooms, targeting local media in Skåne, trade publications covering retail and logistics, as well as national media outlets.

The result: Coverage in priority local and trade media

Greatness’s work resulted in media coverage in key local newspapers, including Sydsvenskan (“Sydsvenskan opens a parcel from the pop-up shop”, “Criticised pop-up shop opens at Emporia: ‘A rip-off’”) and Skånska Dagbladet (“Criticised pop-up shop opens at Emporia”).

The campaign also resulted in both television reports and online news articles from TV4 (“Customers can buy lost postal parcels here”) and SVT (“Controversial pop-up shop selling lost parcels: ‘Like a lottery’”), as well as coverage in trade media (“Lost parcels – successful concept comes to Malmö”).
